The Story of MR. DP
The laughing skull, or Mr. DP (Dangerous Places) as he’s known, is something I created to give out to military and rebel check points. I developed Mr. DP as a sort of “Kilroy was here” that people would identify with me if someone came looking.
The logo on T-shirts and hats was soon worn by rebel commanders, special forces teams, private military groups, contractors and travelers to war zones. You will even see Mr. DP in famous bars from Afghanistan to Djibouti to Burma. Mr. DP represents those who go past the limits, across borders and constantly push the boundaries.
